The World Dementia Council, in partnership with the Alzheimers Association, is proud to announce its second annual Satellite Summit. The event will convene policymakers, researchers, clinicians, and advocates in Istanbul, Turkey on 29 April 2026. This one-day, invitation-only Summit will be held the day before the Alzheimers Association International Conference (AAIC) Satellite Symposium.

Registration: Registration will open at the end of 2025.

    The Summit will bring together policymakers, clinicians, researchers, and advocates to consider how scientific progress in dementia can be translated into real-world delivery. Discussion will focus on bringing brain health approaches into practice, integrating new diagnostics and treatments, and public and professional understanding of dementia. The meeting will look ahead to how systems and services can adapt to support earlier identification and sustained care across the disease course.

    This inaugural one-day WDC Satellite Summit in Lima, held in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, brought together leaders from across Latin America and the Caribbean with international experts. The meeting explored the public policy response to dementia in a region experiencing rapid demographic change. Discussions focused on opportunities in prevention, research, diagnosis, care, and the role of advocacy in securing progress.
