2026 WDC Summits

The Summit, held in Istanbul alongside the Alzheimer’s Association Satellite Symposium, will bring together policymakers, clinicians, researchers, and advocates for a day of conversation and debate. The programme will focus on how progress in prevention, diagnostics and treatment moves from scientific breakthrough to implementation, and the practical steps needed to support that transition.

The 2026 WDC Summit will bring together international and UK leaders to examine how dementia practice is changing as diagnosis moves earlier and new treatments and prevention strategies emerge. The programme will explore the implications of this shift for clinical pathways, system organisation, and the experience of individuals diagnosed earlier. 

The Summit will bring together international experts and academic leaders from across China to consider how advances in science can be translated into clinical practice. The meeting will explore earlier diagnosis, clinical guidelines, new treatments, and the growing importance of prevention and long-term support. The Summit will look ahead to the next decade of practice and delivery.
